Weekend Warfront! - Spirit of WAR

Mar.05, 2010, posted in news

WAAAAGH!!!

We’ve got a whole new reason for your to say TGIF with our second Weekend Warfront: Spirit of WAR! This weekend you and your allies can do battle in the High Pass Cemetery scenario as you crush and humiliate your foes no matter what tier you’re in - and while you probably don’t need any more motivation than that, we’ve made the rewards for participating in High Pass Cemetery that much more…rewarding.

So join us this weekend and every weekend as all 4 tiers get to participate in a different Weekend Warfront each week!

Weekend Warfront: High Pass Cemetary
Start: Friday, March 5th 2010
End: Monday, March 8th 2010

Have fun, and we’ll see you on the battlefield!

Update - RvR Weapon Pricing

Mar.03, 2010, posted in news

One of the most anticipated features of Patch 1.3.4 was the introduction of new RvR weapons. Over the course of testing, concerns were voiced by members of the community regarding the costs of the weapons.  As a development team, we made assurances that the costs would be watched and adjusted if necessary.  We’re now pleased to announce that after a great deal of analysis, discussion, and feedback, we’ve just reduced the costs of many of the RvR weapons, with a focus on the lower Renown Ranks.

Feb.24, 2010, posted in news

Hello all, allow me to (re)introduce myself. My name is Carrie Gouskos,
and two weeks ago, I became the Franchise Producer for Warhammer.  The
job of the Franchise Producer is to work with our illustrious Executive
Producer Jeff “the” Hickman, and a team of talented and committed
people, to plan the future and vision of Warhammer, and I’m elated to
have this opportunity. If you’re wondering about the departure of my
predecessor, Bruce MacLean, never fear, he is still around and working
hard on other projects.

Dev Diary: Mike Wyatt - Scenario Structure

Feb.22, 2010, posted in news

We track a lot of data – there’s almost nothing that we don’t know
about the ebb and flow of what’s going on within Warhammer Online by
staring at endless spreadsheets filled with all sorts of numbers. What
may be the truth on one server isn’t necessarily the truth on another.
While these spreadsheets do provide us with factual data, we also
evaluate information from the community team based on feedback from the
players that metrics simply cannot acquire. By analyzing both of these
sources, we are able to ensure the decisions we make are for the
betterment of the game across all servers. This is all a precursor to
my next paragraph – brace yourself!

Dev Diary: Sean Bosshardt - RvR Weapons

Feb.17, 2010, posted in news

Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Sean Bosshardt and
I am the Items Lead. I joined the items team late last summer after
working on PVE content for quite some time. Being the lead of a high
profile team like this definitely has its ups and downs, especially
having inherited the team post-launch. I think we can all agree that
there are some things with the itemization of Warhammer that could use
TLC and I can assure you I am working feverishly towards that goal. I’d like to talk to you today about a new feature we’re adding to start
us in the right direction.
