Warpstone is now open to the Public!

R40, RR80 templates are enabled for all careers, so be sure to patch up and jump on early in preparation for tomorrow night’s Mass Stability Playtest (with a special twist!). The fun starts tomorrow night at 8:00 PM EST and will continue until we’ve got enough data to be useful. Following the playtest I’ll be hosting our normal format Q&A session with a very special guest: Combat and Careers Team Lead, Nate Levy.

We’ll also be debuting the official Mythic Entertainment Ventrilo server tomorrow night, so be sure to log in early for a slot as space is limited and it is first come, first serve! Ventrilo information will be broadcast on the server tomorrow night starting at 7:45 PM EST.

And what playtest would be complete without the chance to win an Enslaved Manticore or Imperial Griffon mount? Everyone who participates will be entered in a drawing to win one of these fabulous prizes.

So gird your loins and come help us try to crash the server tomorrow night on Warpstone!

As many of you are aware version 1.3.3 introduced the “Underdog”
system. It is important to note that we don’t consider this system to
be a silver bullet for the Tier 4 campaign; rather it is the first of a
number of changes we’re looking to roll out over next few patches.

It’s that time yet again!

Time to kick off the 1.3.3 PTS Mass Playtests on everyone’s favorite Public Test Server: Warpstone. Come and join the WAR Dev team for two nights of testing and your chance to win an Enslaved Manticore or Imperial Griffon Mount and be amongst the first to see the all new WAR Report feature!

We will hosting two events next week, this first one starting on Tuesday, 12/1/2009, at 8:00 PM EST. This first test will be previewing and putting the WAR Report through it’s paces. On Thursday, 12/3/2009, at 8:00 PM EST we’ll be conducting a mass battle royale stability test, so come on out and check out the shiny (literally!) new HDR and Bloom graphic features as you storm the PTS battlefield!

UPDATE - 5:49 PM EST: Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, we are going to have to
cancel tonight’s PTS event. Not to fret though as we are rescheduling
for tomorrow night at the same time. So we’ll see everyone tomorrow,
12/2/2009 @ 8:00 PM EST for the Mass PTS Playtest.

Here at Mythic Entertainment we have always placed a high
value on our communities and the players that make them up. This is especially
true when it comes to our special rule-set servers like Role-Playing and Open
RvR. There are many different things that have to be taken into consideration
in order to nurture these communities. At the same time, WAR is a game that
thrives on player interaction; whether it’s Public Quests, fast paced Scenario
action or the thrill of large-scale Open-field Realm vs. Realm battles. Both of
these factors must be taken under consideration when deciding the future of our
unique rule-set servers.
